About Gene Peter Hillger

Gene P. Hillger is the part of Arnold & Arnold Inc who heads the Blue Water Hull department of the company now. He joined Arnold & Arnold back in 1994 and is a certified open water diver. He is one of the marine hull surveyors and is responsible for adjusting the managing claims, thereby handling the full line of adjusting.

 

 Gene acted as an attorney to the California Bar in 1986 and the American Samoa bar in 1996. Additionally, he is an accredited marine surveyor and an active member of the Society of Accredited Marine Surveyors (SAMS). Gene is a graduate in Marine Transportation from the United States Merchant Marine Academy, King’s Point, in 1979. He is a graduate of The American University’s Washington College of Law.

 

 Before entering the law school, he sailed with Military Sealift Command’s Pacific Division as a first, second, and third deck officer on ocean tugs, tankers, cargo, and research vessels. After graduating from law school, he practiced insurance defense law in San Diego for two years handling medical malpractices and general liability cases. He then spent another one year on support vessels in the Gulf of Mexico oil fields while working on oil platforms before joining Arnold & Arnold.
